Not for the first time this season, Sunderland had to fight from behind to stay undefeated on Saturday.

Jack Ross’ side have developed a nasty habit starting slowly, and Joey Barton’s Fleetwood took an early lead at the Stadium of Light on Saturday as Paddy Madden headed home from a corner.

The Black Cats equalised through the red-hot Josh Maja and were by far the better team in the second half, but Fleetwood held on for a 1-1 draw in front of a huge crowd.
