da bet sport: Leeds United are one of a number of Premier League clubs reportedly interested in a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
da gbg bet: The Whites, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest have all made approaches to Wolves about a potential transfer for the Norway international before the end of the window.
Strand Larsen, who is valued at £40m by his club, wants to stay in the Premier League, rather than move abroad, and Leeds have reportedly had an offer rejected to sign the attacker, but are still pursuing a deal.
The Norwegian star, as shown in the clips above, scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season for Wolves, but he has only scored one goal from 2.86 xG in 20 outings in the division this term, per Sofascore.
Leeds have Eredivisie marksman on their radar
Whilst the Whites are seemingly in the race to snap up Strand Larsen from the Old Gold, the club are also looking at a striker who would be an even better option than the Wolves number nine.

According to the Daily Mail, bringing in a new centre-forward before the end of the January transfer window is a priority for Leeds United and Daniel Farke.
The report backs up the club’s interest in Strand Larsen, with Crystal Palace said to be providing competition for his services, but he is not the only striker on their radar.
It reveals that the West Yorkshire outfit are still looking at a possible deal to sign AZ Alkmaar centre-forward Troy Parrott, as he remains on their radar.
However, the Daily Mail adds that the Ireland international is currently expected to remain with the Dutch side until the summer, which suggests that it would take a strong offer from Leeds to get a transfer over the line before the end of the window.
Why Leeds should sign Parrott instead of Strand Larsen
Whilst Strand Larsen is an attractive target because of his 14-goal haul in the Premier League with Wolves in the 2024/25 campaign, Parrott would be an even better signing for the club.
As aforementioned, the Norway international has been out of sorts in the current campaign, with one league goal to his name, and this means that it would be a risky signing for the Whites because there is no guarantee that he will get back to his best instead of continuing to struggle.
Parrott, however, has been in electric form for AZ Alkmaar and Ireland in the 2025/26 campaign and could arrive at Elland Road to hit the ground running as a prolific scorer, if he can carry his form over to English football.
The former Tottenham Hotspur youngster scored five goals in four caps for Ireland, helping them to qualify for the World Cup play-offs, and has scored 20 goals in 22 games for AZ Alkmaar, per Sofascore.
Parrott, described as a “sensational” player by Ray Houghton, has scored ten goals in 14 matches in the Eredivisie so far this season for the Dutch side, which means that he has scored ten times as many league goals as Strand Larsen.

As you can see in the table above, the Irishman has been one of the best goalscorers in Europe in the 2025/26 campaign, with only five players scoring more goals than him at club level.

This illustrates just how prolific he has been across all competitions, and that is without taking his goals for Ireland into account, which is why he would be such an exciting addition to the squad.
Leeds would, therefore, be landing a player who is at the peak of his powers and full of confidence, which suggests that he could hit the ground running and make an immediate impact at Elland Road in the weeks and months ahead.
Strand Larsen, though, may not be able to do that because of how poor his form has been in the current campaign. He may be more of a slow burner as Farke helps him to regain his confidence and form in front of goal.

Therefore, Parrott could be an even better striker signing for Leeds in the current transfer window if they are able to convince Alkmaar to abandon their plan to keep him until the summer.
