da betcris: It could be a busy month of transfers for Manchester City. They have all but confirmed the signing of Antione Semenyo, who was set to have his medical at the club on Thursday, just hours after bagging a last-gasp winning goal for Bournemouth in his final appearance for the club.
da gbg bet: Next on the list could be Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. The England international might well be on the move this winter with City reportedly ‘confident’ of getting a move over the line.
His contract at Selhurst Park set to expire in the next six months and with City in the midst of an injury crisis at the back, with several first-teamers sidelined for extended periods of time. It appears a dream transfer.
Man City target another Premier League star
It has certainly not been ruled out by Palace manager Oliver Glasner that Guehi could join City this window. He said it would need a “massive offer” to get the deal done, though the Eagles might not be able to say no.

However, according to reports, It seems Semenyo and Guehi might not be the only Premier League signings City could try to make.
Whether or not they acquire Guehi, it does not seem like that would impact City’s potential move for Brentford star Michael Kayode. As per Caught Offside, the Citizens are ‘emerging as the most serious suitors’ for the 21-year-old.
However, they won’t be alone in the race to sign him despite ‘tracking Kayode closely.’ Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested, as are European giants Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Inter Milan. As for a fee, Brentford have set an asking price of £35m.
Why Kayode would be a good addition for Man City
Kayode has already made a great impression in the Premier League, despite only playing in the top flight for a year. He moved to the Gtech Community Stadium last January and has since gone on to become a key player under Keith Andrews.
This season for the West London outfit, Kayode has played 21 times in the Premier League, showing just how important he is to the Bees. He’s started all of those games and played 90 minutes 16 times, keeping four clean sheets along the way.
The 21-year-old is a mightily physical player, not just possessing a remarkably long throw but he’s a handy defender too, notably helping to keep a clean sheet against Aston Villa at the start of the season, making a cracking last-ditch block to deny Morgan Rogers what would have been a certain goal.
If City are to bring Kayode to the club, he could prove to be an upgrade on their current first-choice right-back, Matheus Nunes.
The Portuguese is actually a midfielder by trade, but has evolved into a right-back under Pep Guardiola, where he has cemented a spot in the side permanently.
The 27-year-old, who was born in Rio de Janeiro, has featured 25 times in all competitions this season, with every appearance coming from right-back.

In his overall City career, which spans 97 games to date, Nunes has made 42 appearances from that position, despite initially joining to strengthen in the middle of the park.
However, bringing in Kayode to add depth to that area of the pitch might be a smart way for the East Mancunian outfit to improve the quality. The stats from this season suggest that the Italian is an upgrade on Nunes. For example, he averages 1.1 chances created and 6.2 duels per 90 minutes compared to the City star’s 0.6 chances created and 5.4 duels won each game.

There is no doubt that Kayode is a brilliant prospect at right-back. Described as a “monster” by scout Antonio Mango, the Italian has taken to life in the Premier League superbly well in his first 12 months.
£35m is not the biggest of investments, and for a player who is a genuine upgrade on Nunes, this could be a sensational deal for the Citizens.
Better move than Semenyo: Man City dreaming of signing £85m "warrior"
