Greg Barclay will replace Martin Snedden as New Zealand Cricket’s representative on the ICC board of directors. His appointment by NZC’s board of directors follows Snedden’s decision to relinquish his ICC duties in order to concentrate on his new role as chief executive of a New Zealand event development and promotion company. An NZC release stated that Barclay is a commercial lawyer and company director and is experienced in cricket administration, having previously acted as chairman of Northern Districts.”This is an important role for NZC, particularly as we look to finalise the Future Tours Programme and other bilateral series with fellow member countries,” Stuart Heal, the NZC chairman, said. “Greg’s appointment is indicative of the respect he holds within NZC, and we look forward to him continuing the sterling work of his predecessor.”David White, the NZC chief executive, will continue to represent the board on the ICC’s chief executives committee.
