da apostaganha: A lot of Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to congratulate Middlesbrough debutante Jordan Hugill on his winner against Rochdale on Tuesday.

da brwin: The 26-year-old joined The Boro on loan from West Ham in early August and made his first appearance in the League Cup tie against the League One outfit.

This was a dream come true for a boyhood Middlesbrough fan, and many supporters were keen to praise the 6ft star, as they look forward to a productive season.

Fans are now keen for Hugill (valued at £7.2m on Transfermarkt.co.uk) to carry his goalscoring form into their fixture against Leeds on Friday.

West Ham signed Hugill from Preston North End in January for £10m, however, the striker barely featured for The Hammers, only managing three appearances in the Premier League.

The Boro beat Rochdale 2-1 at The Riverside to progress to the third round of the League Cup.
