Villa sign two youngsters with midfielder next on the agenda

da betsson: Unai Emery has added two promising young talents to his ranks in the winter window, with teenagers Alysson and Brian Madjo the only two new faces so far.

That is not to say the Villans are not hunting for senior additions however, having tried for Conor Gallagher before the England international joined Tottenham in a £35m move.

Having lost the race for Gallagher, Villa have now turned towards Brazilian midfielder Allan, who plays for Palmeiras in his homeland.

The 21 year-old can play in the middle, on either wing or further forward as a number ten, and while he is protected by a huge £87m release clause, Villa have made contact in an attempt to bring that price down.

With the threat of PSR regulations still lurking however, there have also been efforts made to trim the squad and wage bill, with winger Donyell Malen joining Roma after 46 appearances for the club.

And now Emery could see another senior player depart before the end of the window.

Barkley set to return from injury amid interest from Sheffield United
